Stakeholder Engagement

Learn more about how MLRP partners are engaging with growers, landowners, community residents, Tribes, and local organizations.

Subscribe to our bilingual newsletter for regular Tule MLRP updates!

The Tule Subbasin MLRP is engaging with landowners, growers, community members, Tribes, local organizations, and agencies to understand the needs and priorities of the Subbasin. Diverse perspectives enable the development of better solutions, projects, and plans. MLRP partners engage with stakeholders in several ways:

  • Grower/Landowner and Community Resident Advisory Committees (both open to the public) meet regularly with MLRP partners to provide input and guidance on project development and Core Plan priorities.
  • Multi-stakeholder workshops were held in 2025 to bring together various groups from the Tule Subbasin, fostering a deeper understanding of each other’s priorities and facilitating collaboration. At these workshops, participants identified their shared priorities and the land repurposing solutions that they are most interested in pursuing in the near term. Learn more about the multi-stakeholder workshops on the “News & Events” webpage.
  • Every other month, we send out a newsletter in both English and Spanish, featuring program updates, ways to get involved, and community stories about land repurposing.
  • MLRP partners regularly hold one-on-one meetings with stakeholders to gain a deeper understanding of their perspectives and help them develop project ideas.

Participants discuss land repurposing options in small breakout groups at the June Tule MLRP workshop.
